Whether you're a beginner, an experienced artist, or simply looking to enjoy art as a leisure pursuit, you're welcome to book for a private, one-on-one session, or attend one of my regular, social sessions. I've been teaching people between 6 and 90 years old since 1990 and know how to create a relaxed, informal atmosphere, in which all-comers are welcome.
One of the best parts of my business is that I get to know my customers and see the pleasure they take in their art - some I've known for years. I won't pressure you with exams or deadlines - you're free to progress at your own pace and develop your own style, working with different mediums including pencils, pens, crayons, pastels, watercolours or mixed media - or to experiment whilst enjoying the company and the surroundings, without intimidation or judgment; hence "art for pleasure". I really do want your sessions to be a pleasure, so don't feel awkward about getting in touch if you have any questions. First-timers and the inexperienced are welcome - get in touch today!
Some of my customers are unable to visit me in Hatfield, in the centre of Hertfordshire. Whether you're house-bound or constrained by a busy schedule, I can help. I travel around the Hatfield and St Albans regions and will come to you for one-off, or regular classes. The coverage map (right) illustrates my location in Herts - please give me a call or send me an Email for more information or directions. Students visit from Hertford, Ware, Hoddesdon, Welwyn Garden City, Welwyn, Potters Bar, Brookman's Park, Harpenden, Wheathamsted, Stevenage and Knebworth and I travel to teach in Hatfield and St Albans.
Regular social sessions take place every week. These give you the opportunity to share your pleasure and socialise with other, like-minded people. These sessions are small and informal, enabling me to give you individual attention and keep the atmosphere friendly. These are run from my base in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, during term time at the following times: Adults: Children (from 6yrs): 2009: Please note that term fees are payable in advance. I also teach privately (one on one). This is subject to availability, so please contact me to discuss this further.
Craft is great fun for all ages, including group activities for the not-so-young . Working with older people, I choose methods of working that they can enjoy and are physically capable of doing - if you have specific requirements, please let me know so I can accommodate your needs. Teaching craft requires a little more planning and structure and so craft classes are by arrangement, usually at a specific centre, in Hatfield.
First-timers are always welcome and you can book a single, "discovery session" for one of our regular group art classes. |
