Teaching is in my blood. My mother's family were all teachers and I've been teaching since the tender age of 13! I qualified in 1991 (City & Guilds 7307 at Southgate College followed by a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Greenwich). I've been teaching art to students aged between 6 and 90, since 1990.

I learnt to paint with oils in evening classes when I was 21 and, in the years since, I have studied watercolour painting and watercolour pencils, oil pastels and chalk pastels, acrylic painting and mixed media. My preference is for nature and I love to paint landscapes, flowers, village scenes and people - especially real scenes from around my home in Hertfordshire. My love of art means that I rarely travel without my paints and this experience and dedication has lead me to become an accomplished water-colourist.
